Profile

Ahmad Aswin Masudi is an alumnus of Development Economics at UNPAR. He later pursued his graduate studies, earning a Master of Science in Economics (M.S.E.) from Universitas Indonesia, followed by a Master of Arts (M.A.) and a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Applied Economics from Western Michigan University, United States. In 2017, he was awarded the prestigious Fulbright Doctoral Scholarship.

His research interests cover a wide range of topics, including Agglomeration Economics, Industrial Clusters, Multinational Enterprises, Foreign Direct Investment, Location Choice, Spatial Analysis, Applied Economics in Development, and Environmental Issues.

Alongside teaching, Ahmad has been actively involved in community engagement. In 2015, he joined UNPAR’s research and community service team in a program to empower and support organic farmers in Bandung. He has also contributed to teacher development through training on “Effectively Using Digital Media to Support Teaching and Learning” (2016), and served as a resource person in the “Research & Statistics Workshop” hosted by UNPAR’s Accounting Department (2017).

His contributions to academia have been recognized through several awards, including the 2021–2022 Department Graduate Research & Creative Scholar Award and the 2022–2023 Gwen Frostic Doctoral Fellowship from Western Michigan University.
