Vision


To become a humanistic academic community in the field of economics, developing local potential to the global level for the advancement of human dignity and the integrity of creation.

Mission

  • Organizing student-centered education and learning using materials developed from research and community service.
  • Conducting research to elevate local potential to the global level for the sake of improving human dignity and the integrity of creation.
  • Organizing community service activities in order to improve equitable and sustainable welfare for the community.
  • Developing an academic culture and atmosphere as well as a work system that facilitates all members of the community to perform in developing local potential to the global level for the improvement of human dignity and the integrity of creation.

Objectives

The objectives of the Department of Economics also include the objectives of the Development Economics Undergraduate Program, the Center for Economic Studies, and the Development Economics Laboratory. Each objective has a work unit that is primarily responsible for achieving that objective, but the duties of each work unit are not limited to specific objectives. The objectives of the Department of Economics are:

  • To produce Development Economics graduates who have sufficient mastery of economics to be able to recognize, understand, comprehend, and predict events and policies in the fields of monetary and financial economics, regional and environmental economics, or industrial and trade economics.
  • To produce research and community service to support the learning process, develop economic science, provide input for policy improvement to the government and the business world, and improve the welfare of the community.
  • Disseminate the results of research and/or community service of the academic community to the international level.
  • Implementing and developing quality assurance for inputs, processes, and outputs that guide all members of the community to play their roles appropriately and perform in line with the Vision of the Department of Economics.
